ARDF History Exhibit

USAFSS Airborne Radio Direction Finding (ARDF) History Exhibit opens at Goodfellow AFB.

ARDF Exhibit

The opening ribbon cutting ceremony for the ARDF History Exhibit is scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2014 at 1500 hrs. in the Maj Gen Norma Brown Headquarters Building. A reception will be hosted by the Heritage Chapter of the Freedom Through Vigilance Association (FTVA) immediately following at the Goodfellow AFB Events Center.

Everyone is invited to attend both events, although seating at the ribbon cutting unfortunately will be limited. If you plan to attend, please send a courtesy email notification to the Heritage Chapter President, JJ Graham: [email protected]

Please follow these instructions for gaining access to Goodfellow AFB for this event:

If you have valid identification such as an active/retired Military ID, active Military-related civilian ID etc., all you need to do is present your card to Security Forces at either gate.

If you do not have one of those identification cards, the Heritage Chapter will sponsor your base entry for this ceremony. For each visitor, we’ll need the full name, date of birth, driver’s license number and state of issuance.

Please forward the required information to JJ Graham at [email protected] NLT COB 22 July.

We’ll put together a Visitors Access List (VAL) and forward it to the Security Forces. They will perform a background check and have a list of authorized guests at the Jacobson (South) Gate (from Chadbourne Street). There is no need to stop at the Visitor Control Center. When you reach the gate, simply present your driver’s license and tell the gate guard you are on the Heritage Chapter VAL. Once Security Forces have checked your license against the VAL, you will be directed to the ribbon cutting location. We encourage visitors to share rides if possible as this will ease the parking situation.
